Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also sings. She's the smallest woman and the first to receive an official British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is an emerging young star of the Indian sitar. She is the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. She was born London in 1982. During during her early years, she swam in London New Delhi. Her debut performance was on stage in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. In Encinitas the state of California, in 1999 she earned a high-school diploma. Anouskha still has a promising career in recording and performing even though she's only a teenager. She regularly accompanies her father during performances, something she's been doing for several years. She released her debut solo album Anourag in the year 1998. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. She has performed at most famous venues throughout the world. The career of Anoushka doesn't only include the world of music. In 2002 she published a book entitled Bapi The love of My Live this is a pictorial biography which is a respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she starred in Dance Like a Man as an actress and Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka shankar is a rising celebrity and her popularity will continue to grow. Anoushka Shakar, who was born in England lived the majority of her time between London Delhi. After moving to California she graduated from high school. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75, Anoushka made her debut performing the sitar in front of an audience just four years after her 9-year-old father. Accompanying her father as his world tour, Anoushka had a wealth of performances in Carnegie Hall while still in her teens. She performed at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival, and also recording together with George Harrison. Her artistry and musicianship were acknowledged by the British Parliament as being among the top of the best in Asian Arts.
